Greek Herb & Honey Smoothie Bowl with Spinach, Nuts and Fruits
With all the amazing fresh fruits and produce in the Greek-Mediterranean kitchen, making great, healthy smoothies is easy! Here’s a perfect fresh and fast Mediterranean diet recipe for a smoothie, which you can enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Greek honey and Greek yogurt make this an even more delicious modern Greek recipe.
- 1 banana preferably frozen
- 2 fresh peaches pitted
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- ½ cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons blanched almonds
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
- 2 teaspoons ground Greek dried mint
- 1 – 3 teaspoons Greek honey
- ½ ripe kiwi diced
- Fresh mint for garnish
Blend half the banana, three of the peach halves, spinach, almond milk, yogurt, 3 tablespoons almonds, dried mint and honey in a blender with 4 to 6 ice cubes until very smooth.
Cut the remaining banana and peach half into slices. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with kiwi, peach and banana slices and the remaining 2 tablespoons almonds. Serve
