Please help, we have just returned from Agia Maria in Chania, Crete after an amazing two weeks.
We ate at a lovely taverna Manolis on several occasions one of which stands out more than most.
We ordered (translated into English on the menu) Lamb with Olive Oil. The lamb pieces were stewed in lots (and lots) of olive oil and onions (although these were removed before serving)and some potatoes. We cannot find the recipe (nor the Greek name) anywhere. Do you know/have you heard of this dish?
with thanks in advance
Maybe you are talking about a dish called “Sfakiano Arni”? I don’t have a recipe per se, but if you do a google search I believe you will find this.
