Instructions
-
Prep the Oven & Feta: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat feta dry with a paper towel. Lightly oil the bottom of a small baking dish or oven-safe pan and place the feta in the center.
-
Add Olive Oil: Drizzle 1–2 teaspoons of olive oil over the top and sides of the feta, ensuring it’s lightly coated.
-
Bake: Bake on the center rack for about 10 minutes, until warm and slightly softened but not melted.
-
Add Honey & Broil: Remove from oven. Set oven to broil. Drizzle honey and a little more olive oil over the top of the feta, covering the surface. Return to oven and broil for 2–5 minutes, watching closely, until the top is golden and caramelized.
-
Finish & Serve: Remove from oven. Drizzle with a bit more honey if desired. Sprinkle with fresh thyme or mint and a pinch of black pepper or chili flakes for a kick. Swish the cheese around so that it’s all melty. Serve immediately with crusty bread or pita.
Tips & Variations:
Add za’atar, sesame seeds, or sliced lemons before baking for extra flavor.
Garnish with toasted walnuts or pistachios for crunch.
Use high-quality Greek feta and honey for best taste.
