Caramelized Onion Halves

WAYS TO USE THESE CARAMELISED ONIONS I love to enjoy these as a side dish with most dishes -especially when I’m having a bean or a vegetable stew. Next time you have giant beans in tomato sauce or any Greek ladero, these onions are a wonderful pair.
PREP TIME 10 minutes
COOK TIME 30 minutes

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C or 400°F.
  2. Place the onions and olive oil in a skillet over low-medium heat and slowly cook the onions until deeply caramelized, about 20 - 25 minutes. Season with salt and add the balsamic for about ten minutes before removing it from the heat.
